Annual Gathering - More Info!

Apr 11 2022

The Rev. Dr. Ray Schooler, Senior Director of Church Relations at International Ministries, has recruited a stellar collection of International Ministries missionaries to join him at our Annual Meeting/Missions Conference at Menlo Park, March 4-6. Ray and these missionaries will be with us throughout the conference but will be highlighted especially on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Lauran Bethell – Global Consultant

Since 1986, LAURAN has been passionate about sharing Jesus’ hope and healing with victims of human trafficking and prostitution and offering prevention opportunities for those at risk. She served as the first director of the New Life Center in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for 14 years before God led her in 2001 to share her pioneering experiences as a global consultant. Based in Europe for 18 years, Lauran traveled extensively throughout the world to encourage Christians in anti-trafficking endeavors. Now living in California, she continues her ministry with victims of trafficking and the organizations serving them globally, advising, networking and conferencing in multiple and creative ways.

Aaron & AmyEstelle Trout – Philippines

In partnership with the Convention of Philippine Baptist Churches (CPBC), AARON will be a resource and support for local churches in discipleship and general ministry. He will use his gifts and professional experience in art to teach art in their local area as well as through the CPBC schools. AMYESTELLE will use her administrative giftings and various ministry experiences to work alongside local schools and churches to mentor and disciple young women, teenagers, and children through various activities such as Bible studies and music. She will also engage and build relationships with small business owners to encourage connection to local ministries.

Amy & Joseph Vo – Vietnam

AMY and JOSEPH will serve with International Ministries as development workers in Vietnam. With Joseph’s background in theology and leadership and Amy’s background in counseling, they will work with IM partner the Baptist Convention of Vietnam (BCV) in Education, Health, and Economic Development. They look forward to being part of God’s work in Vietnam and to be the hands and feet of Christ as they help empower and equip Vietnamese leaders and spouses for leadership and service. Their three children, Joelynn, Josiah, and Johanna, will serve with them in Vietnam.

Walt White – Global Consultant

WALT serves (with his wife, Jeanine) as International Ministries global consultants, training teams working with historically under-served religious groups including pastors, missionaries, development workers, and partners; teaching them to be more effective communicators of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jeanine works with women and children, helping them to overcome social and cultural obstacles. Walt teaches workers to identify clashes between worldviews so that they can make disciples of Jesus Christ in ways that are both faithful to Scripture and culturally appropriate. They seek to increase the longevity of cross-cultural workers and to strengthen their effectiveness in a holistic way.

If you have not received this information that was sent out near the end of January, please contact webmaster@abccpc.org to be added to the email newsletter list.
